Since the end of the Schism to present, there have been six Ages. Each "age" begins when the ruler of Foci merges with the Grand Center. When this happens, an explosive release of focus travels all spheres of existence and regenerates and reinvigorates focus and shapes a new Age, often creating a new Cosmos in the process.
Time behaves differently in the various Cosmos/ spheres (planes) of existence. Foci - the true center of all, and where the Grand Center is found, each Age lasts roughly 125 - 150 years. However, on Trexlin, times moves roughly 30 times faster than on Foci. Therefore, 1 day on Foci is 30 days on Trexlin.
Thus we have various "date" systems.

As noted above in the table, Foci years don't reset when the Monarch merges with the Grand Central. Their calendar continues. However, the "Year" begins anew in the Grand Reckoning and Age Reckoning calendars.
There are, of course, other calendars used in Trexlin. For trade, the Age Reckoning (AR) calendar is generally used. Many countries have their own calendars - or, at least attempt to have. Of the other calendars used, the Calendar of the Empire of the Platinum Lionis widely recognized. The Quem have their own unique calendar system as well.
The Ages take their name from a significant event (at least in the eyes of Foci). For Example, the Time of Death is when the Focus release created the Cosmos of Death, and Xoroth was granted dominion over this.
